The Dalish- the clans knew her, or at least of her. She never said anything about who she was, who she really was, not that I'd ever heard. But... if I was a credit to the People, and they thought I was wrong... maybe it was because they were wrong.

Mythal, Anders. No matter what anyone believes about her, she's real and she's alive. We had thought they were all sealed away by the Dread Wolf- but if she's not, what about the others? Was she ever actually sealed? What are we missing from history?
[The Maker's never spoken to him, but one of the Dalish gods has? But the deepest question for him is if she'd known all of what was coming. If it had been... set, or destined, if there'd been real choice but there had to have been.]
Maker. I don't even know what to think, Merrill, but you are a credit to your people. All I want to do is find her and speak with her again now, to know what she knew, to... The Maker has never given a care. He's let mages rot, he doesn't talk, he doesn't do anything, and Mythal is walking around, flying around...
[It takes a moment for him to know what she's thanking him for. Sometimes he just gets to talking a lot when he's feeling too much and while he means all he's saying, his mouth moves faster than conscious thought.]

Ghilan'nain, yes. Mother to the halla. She was a huntress that Andruil loved, and when Ghilan'nain was betrayed, Andruil turned her into a halla and made her a god.

They're not all depicted as animals, exactly, but they all have animals close to them. If that makes sense?
I've no idea if it makes sense or not. If you ask Fereldans, Andraste should be associated with a mabari, but that's really just because they only have mabari and mud.
But I'd really no idea that your gods could turn others into gods. That's interesting. So Hawke could have become a dragon if Fle--oh, I don't care. If Flemeth had felt like it. I've been calling her Flemeth all this time and it's not like she's listening in.
Well, I'm rather glad she didn't- what would we have done for food?
[ She laughs, can't help it. The image is in her mind and it's so silly, imagining Hawke as a dragon, and so nice to have that relieve the tension, that Merrill doesn't seem to be able to stop giggling. ]
Maybe she could have eaten all of the other dragons we came across. And the giant spiders. And then we could have made her a soup with all of the worn scarves she was so insistent would be useful.
