Status

Bubbly member of the Research Division who is getting more and more pessimistic about her People and how others view them. Griffon Rider despite not being a Warden, though she's close with several of them.

Reputation

Dalish without a clan. Arrived with several alienage elves, mostly from Kirkwall. Known associate of Hawke; if characters know much about Hawke, they may suspect that she is a blood mage (though the official Chantry investigation ruled this out) and some of her history thanks to Varric's big fat book. She has since asked the Inquisition as a whole to stop fighting among itself, helped kill a dragon in the Emprise, traveled to Weisshaupt only to return with thirteen griffon hatchlings, and helped get Justice out of Anders. After the Inquisition arrived in Kirkwall, Merrill went off on her own for a while. She returned from being lost in the Crossroads helping alienage elves across Thedas. Rumor has it that she helped cure Nathaniel Howe of the Blight, though it's possible she was just morale support. Participated in the Battle of Ghislain and swore quite loudly about the traitor mages.
