[ He's waited on this, partly because Skyhold is bigand new and deeply confusing; partly because after Korrin's little revelation about Anders, he's wary of any names dropped alongside.
But it's foolish to not follow up, particularly when there's so much talk of mages as separate, somehow. They need things like Anders proposed, no matter who's running them. ]
Ah — Hello. [ There's the muffled sound of birds squawking, and something scraping along stone. ] I'm Alan, I'm, new here. A man named Anders gave me your name, he says that you teach classes, for non-mages.
[ Merrill sounds genuinely surprised by receiving the call, but she usually does. ]
It's very nice to- um, meet you, I suppose? By voice? But yes, I do -- or, I mean, I don't teach all of them. A few teachers paid by the Inquisition teach some and the rest are other members or volunteers who work for or with the Inquisition.
But yes! Classes. Non-mages and mages and anyone else who wants to learn.
two weeks later orz FEEL FREE TO DROP THIS if it's been too long
Is there a third category? [ To mages and non-mages. ] It seems like a very useful idea, I'm glad that someone's done it. Can I ask what you teach? I'd like to know what everyone's learning, if that's alright.
That would be the "anyone else who wants to learn", I suppose. Or teach, for that matter.
Oh, goodness -- a lot? Personally, I help teach a class about the Dalish, but we have everything from classes on how to read and do math to combat techniques to different languages and cultures. Even Rifter ones!
Nope! I mean, some of the Rifters have gotten into disagreements with other people, but I mean- they were dropped into this world. They don't know a thing about even part of Thedas's cultures. Disagreements were bound to happen.
And I just don't think we should only expect them to learn about us when they have so much to offer, too.
Have you seen the big blue ones, that winter down in the hills? They don't spend the winter as worms. They'll be all over the insides of the trees right now.
All the time, I suppose. [ There are some things that he probably shouldn't miss, but those things are a lot less exciting than finding butterflies. ] Perhaps we could go after this Winter Palace business.
[ He suspects they'll need the break. ]
They're about as big as one of my hands, each. I suppose I don't know how big your hands are, though. So we'll have to figure that out then.
crystal, backdated a lil'

I'd ask if they wanted to write down things in general, but it's a lot of work and I think they might be afraid they'd be attacked or something.
