Ruby has managed to carry (not drag) a Very Very Large item over, although just what it is is obscured from view. It's draped in some draft paper she borrowed from the undercroft and probably has to return, just enough to hide it away, although an ornate wooden frame still peeks through.
Instead of knocking, given that her hands her full, she calls out: ) Delivery for Merrill?

They may not have UPS, but they do have letters. Not that Merrill has ever gotten much mail in her life, but there's still a delighted gasp as she scrambles up to meet Ruby. ]
