Well, from what I have learned about Fredric? A large dragon, with a weakness for cold, and apparently 'beautiful mating rituals'.

[ Giggling: ] Do the male dragons bring her flowers?

Well, if any mages come with, make sure they don't use fire -- and don't use any fire enchanted weapons, either. That's likely what she'll be breathing on you, so if you can get things enchanted to help, that will be great! Or just- roll around in the sand, I suppose.

[He smiles at the giggle.] Perhaps a dozen fennecs or hyenas, but no.

All right .. what should we use instead?

I imagine they might smell worse than flowers. But maybe not if you're a dragon...?

Ice magic. Definitely ice magic. [ Said with a quick nod. ] But don't think that just because her head is where the teeth and the fire are that it's the most dangerous place, either. Dragons are big, bigger in person, and they can and will try to claw at you or land on you or hit you with their wings and tail.

I imagine if I was a dragon, they would be considered a delicacy.

All right, so will having my shield iced, will that help protect me from the fire?

I would think so! Or there are potions to resist fire, that sort of thing.

I see ... well that might be something good to use. What will we need to make them?

Spindleweed, mostly. There are other plants that will make the tonic more effective, of course, but- well, there's not actually any Spindleweed in the desert, is there?

There is some by the water sources - not a lot, but enough to make a potion or two.

The water sources that the dragon might be drinking from?

The good news is that dragons are very big, so you might see her coming!

The bad news is that she's also very likely to see you.

Well ... I seem to recall the gorge narrowing quite a bit, so she might not be able to fit. Anything that would give us an advantage would be useful - I would hate to waste it.
